Great math article. (No, seriously.)

Will Wilson's “Screaming Shapes and Seven-Dimensional Donuts” is the kind of thing I would love to read every day of the week. To put it briefly, it's about possible implications of disciplines such as topology (a branch of mathematics) for the broader agenda of science. I'm not convinced that scientists and mathematicians need to be doing anything different, but I think Will has pointed out one of the most promising routes by which the humanities could reconcile themselves with science without losing their—no! no! don't say it!—humanity.
