Election: done.
I don't have much to say about the election. It's not that I think there are no important things to be said; it's just that everyone else is already saying them, and I don't have much to add. I feel basically good about Barack Obama's victory—if McCain had pulled it out, that would have seemed so weird to me—and I'm curious about what happens next. And now I can enjoy the year or so of peace and quiet before the 2012 race begins.

If McCain would have won I know what I would have felt: dread. I'm glad conservatives and Republicans are going to have a time in the wilderness--we need it, and it should do our souls some good.
